Macedonia's top officials, politicians and other individuals are the wiretapping targets, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Sunday.

"We have seen fabricated documents presented to the public with the intention of creating a false image through excerpts from conversations and created conversations. This is a way to show that people are not what they appear to be, but also to forget their deeds and achievements", PM Gruevski told reporters after putting into use a sports hall in Plasnica municipality.

According to him, this is way for people to forget reconstructions of hospitals, construction of motorways and other road infrastructure, increase of pensions and welfare, agriculture subsidies etc.

"They want the people to forget everything that has been invested over the past nine years, focusing only on parts of created conversations, based on which (opposition leader) Zaev believes he can come to power, which will certainly not happen", underlined Gruevski.
