Gruevski - Peterle: Euro-Atlantic integrations are strategic goal for Macedonia

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski met with Alojz Peterle, co-chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee of the Republic of Macedonia and the European Union. Gruevski and Peterle discussed Macedonia's European integrations and the political situation in Macedonia.

"Membership in the European Union is a major strategic goal for the Government and we work intensely on further reforms necessary to allow progress in this regard", Gruevski told Peterle.

Gruevski expressed his gratitude to Peterle for the active support given by the Joint Parliamentary Committee to overcome the political tensions between the Government and the opposition SDSM party in Macedonia.

 

Gruevski and Peterle also discussed regional cooperation, with the Prime Minister explaining Macedonia's actions to maintain good neighbourly relations. Gruevski also discussed the economic reforms Macedonia is undertaking to improve the business climate, open the country further for foreign investment and increase living standards.
