Prime Minister Gruevski at Football Match between EU and Western Balkans in Vienna

The football match took place before the beginning of the Western Balkans Vienna Summit 2015 under the auspices of the European Union, and it began as part of the Berlin Initiative for inclusion of the Western Balkans within the EU.

At the game played last night in the capital of Austria, the Western Balkans team defeated the EU team by 4:2. The Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski scored two of the winning goals, and assisted the other two.

The team of the future EU member-states, beside the Macedonian Prime Minister, was composed of the head of Kosovo diplomacy, Hashim Tachi, the Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Crnodak, his counterpart from Montenegro and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Austria.

The EU team was led by the Prime Minister of Slovenia, Miro Cerar, and the head of the Austrian diplomacy, Sebastian Kurz. Referees at the match were the Euro Commissioner Johannes Hahn and the Foreign Minister of Serbia, Ivica Dachic.
