The construction of the Suto Orizari water supply system, worth EUR 3 million, is ongoing, benefiting 40,000 citizens in the municipality, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Sunday.

"The water supply system should be completed in the second half of 2016, solving the problem of the citizens in the municipality regarding the lack of water, especially in the summer", PM Gruevski told reporters after laying the cornerstone of a new sports hall in Suto Orizari.

According to him, other projects will follow in the municipality, but also in other parts of Skopje.

"Projects worth EUR 27 million are currently built in Skopje municipalities, including streets, boulevards, roundabouts, parks. Special attention is given to Suto Orizari, since some of the basic infrastructure facilities are still lacking here", added Gruevski.
