Macedonian business conditions – encourage Israeli businessmen

The Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, Nikola Gruevski and the delegation from the Government, consisted of the MFA Nikola Poposki and the Minister for attracting FDIs, Jerry Naumoff paid visit to the State of Israel. During the visit PM Gruevski took participation at a business forum in Jerusalem.

The forum was attended by representatives of Israeli companies in the area of agriculture, energy, tourism and medicine while the governmental delegation presented the conditions for investing and doing business in the Republic of Macedonia.

PM Gruevski underlined that our country is making a substantial progress with view to the creation of a good business climate, cooperation with investors and support for the economic development. Furthermore, he emphasized that many reforms have been undertaken which resulted in the high rankings of Macedonia in the reports issued by relevant financial institutions such as the World Bank. This institution in its Doing Business Report which assesses the good business climate and the conditions for doing business placed Macedonia on the 12th position in the world, and 6th position in Europe.

We are second best in the world with view to ease of starting a business and registration of a company which can be performed in only four hours and can be done from any place in the world. Moreover, we are advancing in other areas, such as the protection of investments, stated PM Gruevski.

He underscored that this is a result of a systematic work in several areas and that many procedures important to the business have been simplified.
