PM Gruevski: Economic indices confirm Macedonia's stable growth
The State Statistical Office data, saying that the industrial production has increased for 13.1 percent and turnover in the industry for 8.1 percent indicate to stable, even accelerated growth in the industry, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski announced on Wednesday.
Manufacturing companies make solid profits that may be invested in new production facilities, which means opening of new jobs, Gruevski said.
He expressed satisfaction with the volume indices of the industrial production, as well as with the projection of the State Statistical Office for a GDP growth of 3.5 percent, which is in accord with the Government's outlook for 2015.
Gruevski believes that the GDP growth projection will become reality and should be among the best in Europe.
"The economic growth was slightly affected by the political crisis the opposition created in the first half of this year. Initially we hoped for a growth of 3.8 percent, but we had to revise it later to 3.5 percent. However it will still be one of the best results in Europe," Gruevski said.
