About EUR 130m invested in construction of 40 small hydro-power plants
Thirty-five small hydro-power plants have been constructed and set into operation thus far while five others will start working in January following the decision for erection of 65 of such facilities. About EUR 130 million has been invested in this project thus far, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Sunday.
The investment funds for all 65 power plants should reach up to EUR 200 million, Gruevski said. He expressed belief that those small hydro-power plants would create at least 100 jobs and above all substantially contribute to Macedonia's electro power system.
