Macedonia's caretaker Prime Minister Emil Dimitriev sent Wednesday a note to Donald Trump congratulating him on his victory at the US presidential elections.

"I am certain that the support of US citizens will motivate you to implement policies that will provide for economic prosperity and development of democracy in the whole world. I believe that you will demonstrate leadership in creating better future for the entire human race and in promoting principles, standards that will build cooperation, respect among nations," Dimitriev says in his note.

Macedonia and the US, he says, are friends that have been nourishing a strategic partnership and sharing common values.

He also extends gratitude for the US support of Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic integration processes, expressing belief that during Tramp's presidential term Macedonia would acquire the deserved NATO membership status.

Furthermore, Dimitriev highlights the commitment of Macedonia's Government to advancing the relations between the two countries in all spheres of mutual interest on both bilateral and multilateral level.
