Three renovated kindergartens in Gazi Baba municipality put into operation

Economy Minister Valjon Saracini accompanied by mayor Toni Trajkovski Sunday attended opening ceremony of three renovated kindergartens in Gazi Baba municipality.

Three kindergartens were renovated within GEF Sustainable Energy Project realised by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with the World Bank. The total value of construction works amounted US$340.000 of which US$300.000 provided by the World Bank and US$40.000 by Gazi Baba municipality.

The facilities were fully reconstructed. All incandescent lamps are replaced with CFL bulbs, thermal insulation of external walls was installed, flooring, external windows and doors were replaced and thermal insulation of roofs was installed in “Soncogled” kindergarten.

Three new kindergartens will have better conditions for dwelling and protection of the environment i.e. the main effect from this reconstruction is energy saving – environmental protection, mayor Trajanovski said.

Economy Minister Saracini said that the by this, the first phase of GEF project valued at US$5,5 million is successfully realised, which includes reconstruction of schools or kindergartens in eight municipalities in the country aimed at energy efficiency use.

The project is also being realised in Kavadarci, Cesino-Oblesevo, Zajas, Bogovinje and Kisela Voda. Three facilities are included in each municipality, kindergarten or school. The goal of the reconstruction is increase of energy efficiency.
