Macedonia's advantages for foreign investors, such as access to a market of 650 million consumers, low and attractive taxes, regulatory guillotine and other reforms that have been evaluated as extremely favorable for the business climate in Macedonia by the World Bank and other international institutions, were presented Monday by government's economic team, led by PM Nikola Gruevski, at a second business forum in New Delhi.

The business forum was organised by the renowned Indian company "Sahara India Pariwar" under the auspices of its founder Subrata Roy.

"What I would like to add on this occasion has nothing to do with economy. It refers to humanity i.e. the unique link established between Macedonia and India with the life and work of Mother Teresa," Gruevski said, adding that the joint legacy left behind by her would enhance countries' trust.

The PM extended an official invitation to Subrata Roy to visit Macedonia and inspect the opportunities offered in order to expand his businesses in Europe.

On his part, the founder of "Sahara India Pariwar" expressed content and gratitude for the chance to organize the event, which contributed to bringing the two countries closer.

Monday's business forum was attended by high representatives of Indian ruling and opposition parties, which demonstrates the huge interest stirred by the government delegation in India.

"Sahara India Pariwar" is an Indian conglomerate company. Its diversified business has interest in financial services, housing finance, mutual funds, life insurance, city development, real estate activities, print and television media, film production, sports, information technology, health care, tourism, hospitality and consumer products.

Subrata Roy was named one of the 25 most influential people in India and his company is the main sponsor of the Indian national cricket team.
