PM Gruevski meets Albania's FM Haxhinasto

Premier Nikola Gruevski and Albania's Foreign Minister Edmond Haxhinasto expressed satisfaction Friday in Skopje with the intensive bilateral dialogue, which brings quality and dynamics to the Macedonian-Albanian good neighborly relations, based on close cooperation.

Gruevski briefed the guest on Macedonia's strategic foreign policy priorities - the EU, NATO membership - and the ongoing activities to that effect, the Government's Information Service said in a press release. Macedonia, Gruevski said, supports Albania's application for the EU membership.

Gruevski and Haxhinasto reaffirmed the readiness of their countries to further bolster the economic cooperation, particularly in the spheres of infrastructure and energy.

They agreed that Macedonia and Albania should keep supporting each other and cooperating in the European and Euro-Atlantic integration processes in favor of further strengthening of the stability and prosperity of the entire region.
