Vice PM Arifi pays working visit to Kosovo

The Vice Premier responsible for European affairs, Teuta Arifi paid Thursday a working visit to Kosovo.

Vice PM Arifi held meetings with Kosovo's Deputy Premier Edita Tahiri, Minister of EU Integration Vlora Citaku and Parliament Speaker Jakup Krasniqi.

Talks focused on discussing the cooperation between the two neighbouring countries with an emphasis on their EU integration bid, the Secretariat for European Affairs (SEA) said in a press release.

At the meetings it was concluded that Macedonia and Kosovo were fostering excellent cooperation and that countries' strategic goal was integration into Euro-Atlantic structures. It was agreed that cooperation could be heightened through joint projects, exchange of experience and participating into regional initiatives.

Interlocutors concurred that there were opportunities for boosting bilateral cooperation in relation to use of IPA funds intended for cross border cooperation.

Upon an invitation by the National Democratic Institute in Kosovo, Vice PM Arifi delivered an address on topic "Women in Politics and Civil Society" at the "Women's Week" conference.
