Public Revenue Office employees suspended due to involvement in “Detonator” action

Twenty-four employees in the regional units of the Public Revenue Office (PRO) in Stip, Bitola and Tetovo have been suspended due to their direct or indirect involvement in activities connected with “Detonator” action.

As Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said Sunday at the joint press conference with PRO Director Goran Trajkovski, three managers of regional units of PRO in Stip, Bitola and Tetovo, four coordinators of tax sections in Prilep, Kumanovo, Ohrid and Kicevo, five heads of tax windows in Kriva Palanka, Delcevo, Vinica and Demir Hisar as well as 12 inspection controllers in Stip, Bitola and Tetovo are suspended.

These personnel replacements show that PRO fights unselectively against grey economy, crime and violation of law in the Republic of Macedonia and all those directly and indirectly involved will bear responsibilities, Stavreski said.

Stavreski and Trajkovski pointed out that the Public Revenue Office significantly contributed to “Detonator” action in discovering illegal activities.
