Government issues EUR 10 million emission of denationalization bonds

The Government issued Monday the 11. emission of denationalization bonds worth EUR 10 million, encompassing all denationalization decisions that went into effect from 1 January 2011 up to 31 January 2012, the Finance Ministry said in a press release.

Citizens can use the denationalization bonds prior to their maturity as shares in enterprises owned by the former Privatization Agency of the Republic of Macedonia, which later transferred in the jurisdiction of other state institutions, shares in enterprises reserved for former owners in line with the law on transformation of state-owned enterprises, payment of claims transferred through the law of the Agency for Funds Management that are subject to sale, purchase of state property by way of bonds, purchase of shares of state capital during its privatization, payment of fee for state property concession, purchase or payment of state property lease, payment of liabilities arising from the denationalization law, or other equivalent of ownership determined by law.

Denationalization bond emissions worth EUR 301 million have been issued thus far.
