The Ministry of Culture has concluded a three-year agreement for funding programmes of culture center "Interart", enabling the development of modern dance, said Minister Elizabeta Kanceska-Milevska on Wednesday.

"The Ministry and center Interart have become equal partners in the continual enhancement of modern dance through independent activities, in the spirit of European principles for self-sustainability of cultural programmes", said Kanceska-Milevska.

Culture center "Interart" has worked for 16 years on the development of modern dance in Macedonia.

"The project represents a true step forward with regards to development of entrepreneurship in culture, opening a new horizon in the support of culture projects by following global models", added Kanceska-Milevska.

Interart artistic director Risima Risimkin expressed hope that the center, which students will become the first professional modern dancers in Macedonia in a couple of years, will have the opportunity to develop modern dance at a higher level.
