Poposki: United Europe is impossible without Macedonia’s inclusion in it

The key message is that united Europe is impossible without Macedonia’s inclusion in it, FM Nikola Poposki said after his speech before the General Assembly of the International Pan-Europa Union in Strasbourg.

What is important on long term is that we have showed to have capacity to act as Europeans on long term. Today, I have felt and I think everybody present at the General Assembly share this, that Macedonia behaves in European manner and contributes for the European ideal even more than some factors in the EU, Poposki said in the statement for MIA.

I think that this message and this solidarity, which we must show towards the ideal for united Europe, peaceful, prosperous and stable is what should lead us in the future. Such messages are welcomed and I consider that together we should work in this direction, Poposki said in relation to the part of the speech by French MEP Joseph Daul, Chairman of the Group of the European People’s Parties.

In fact Joseph Daul before the participants of the General Assembly of the International Pan-Europa Union clearly said, “We cannot block Macedonia’s admission in the EU only because of the name issue!”

The International Pan-Europa Union, gathered in Strasbourg on 10 December 1995, is faithful adherent as a supra-national movement to the political ideas and ideals of its founder, Richard Coudenhove-Kalergi. The Pan-Europa Union supports the political integration of Europe in the areas of internal and external security, technology and research as well as a comprehensive European constitutional treaty for the European Union. It is committed to an independent European defence policy, in partnership with NATO.
