Besar Durmishi is a prominent politician and professional in the area of financial accounting, with an extensive experience in the local self-government and the private sector. 

Durmishi started his education in Tetovo where he completed his primary education in the Primary School “Naim Frasheri” (1996-2004) and his high-school education in the grammar school “Kiril Pejchinovikj” (2004-2008). His academic path continued on the State University in Tetovo where in 2013 he graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences specialising in the area of finance and accounting. 

Upon completion of graduate studies, Durmishi started his professional career as an authorised accountant in Rekont Plus Accounting Office where he worked from 2013 and 2020. 
In 2017 Durmishi was elected a member of the Municipal Council of the municipality of Tetovo. He performed his duties on this position by 2021 and in the period 2021-2024 was a President of the Municipal Council of the municipality of Tetovo. 

Durmishi continued his academic activities and at the moment attends master studies in management and finance on the College of Business Faculty in Prishtina. In 2021-2022 he completed specialist studies at the American University of Europe in Skopje where he obtained additional skills in the area of economic studies. 

Besar Durmishi in addition to Albanian is fluent in Macedonian and English.
