Prime Minister Gruevski meets US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Reeker
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and US Deputy Assistant Secretary for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker held talks Tuesday in Skopje, mainly focused on the name issue.
Gruevski briefed Reeker about Macedonia's commitment and responsible approach to finding a mutually acceptable solution to the dispute over the country's constitutional name, imposed by Greece.
Gruevski and Reeker also discussed the bilateral relations, based on cooperation, trust and friendship, as being also confirmed by the Strategic Partnership Agreement.
The Prime Minister and his guest also talked about Macedonia's reforms, as well as the realization of the strategic priorities of the country's new government, namely providing conditions for meeting the European, Euro-Atlantic standards, economic growth, rule of law, media freedom, advancing the inter-ethnic relations, further progress and modernization of the society.
