PM Gruevski offers condolences to US over Libya events

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski sent Wednesday a note of condolences to United States President Barack Obama over the terrorist attack to the US consulate in Benghazi, resulting in the killing of Ambassador John Christopher Stevens and three other Americans.

"On behalf of the Macedonian Government, let me express my regret over the great loss for the United States and its people, extending my deepest condolences to the victims' families. In the days observing the 11. 9/11 anniversary, it is more than necessary to demonstrate decisiveness in the efforts to eliminate the forces spreading terror and violence, warring against the universal values - peace, democracy and human rights", says PM Gruevski in the note.

Gruevski stresses Macedonia's resolve to continue its active contribution in the struggle against terrorism and other forms of violence that represent a threat to global peace, stability and prosperity.
