PM Gruevski: Veterans' law in line with Constitution

The veterans' law is just and does not go against the Constitution, does not endanger anyone's interests, and does not represent a threat to any ethnic community, said Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski on Sunday.

According to him, a version of this law was adopted in the first half of 2002, but the issue of increasing certain benefits from that law has dragged for a long period.

"The law aims at increasing the benefits from the existing Veterans' Law for those who risked their lives in 2001. This is just a small consideration for the families of those who lost their lives while defending Macedonia", PM Gruevski told reporters.

He added that parties opposing the law should rethink and stop abusing the law for political-partisan purposes.
