Skopje Boulevard Mitropolit Teodosij Gologanov opens for traffic

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and Skopje Mayor Koce Trajanovski attended Sunday a formal opening of the second lane of the expanded Boulevard 'Mitropolit Teodosij Gologanov' in Macedonia's capital.

The second expanding phase of 1.100m makes the 'Mitropolit Teodosij Gologanov' a four-lane - 16m-wide boulevard.

The project will eliminate yet another traffic bottleneck in the city and put an end to traffic jams, Gruevski said at the ceremony.

"It is very important for citizens who use this boulevard on daily basis. Macedonia's Government will keep supporting projects of the local self-government that will make Skopje a genuine metropolis in line with all standards of the modern time," Gruevski said.

To give momentum to Skopje's urban life and create efficient, modern infrastructure service for citizens in this period presents a real challenge and great responsibility, he said. In these respect the PM mentioned the new reconstructed streets, ring roads, bridges, multi-storey car parks, buses, sculptures...

Mayor Trajanovski referred to the project's details.
