VMRO-DPMNE leader Nikola Gruevski is the most popular politician and the VMRO-DPMNE-led coalition also enjoys a high approval rating, according to the latest opinion poll by the Skopje Institute for Political Research.

According to the poll, when asked "Which party would you vote for if election were held next week", 22.5% of the respondents said they would vote for VMRO-DPMNE's coalition, 16.5% for the SDSM-led coalition, 6.5% for DUI, 3.9% for DPA and 1.3% for NDP. 14.1% of those participating in the poll said they wouldn't vote for any of the parties, whereas 34.3% had no answer.

Asked which politician would they chose to be the future premier of Macedonia, 23.3% said they would vote for Nikola Gruevski, 8.1% for Branko Crvenkovski, 6.2% for Ali Ahmeti, 4% for Radmila Sekerinska, 3.6% for Zoran Zaev, 3.4% for Menduh Taci and 1.3% for Rufi Osmani. 27.7% provided no answer, whereas 21.9% said they wouldn't pick any politician.

1.115 respondents took part in the telephone poll conducted by the Institute for Political Research between 29 October and 1 November.
