A molecular diagnostics laboratory was inaugurated Tuesday at the Institute of Microbiology and Parasitology within the Faculty of Medicine, which provides precise diagnoses for gravely ill patients who need immediate results.

Results will be obtained in three to four hours instead in three to four days. The immediate reaction is expected to save many lives, it has been said.

"In this state-of-the-art laboratory results will be obtained in only a few hours prompting swift reactions that will save many lives," stated PM Nikola Gruevski, who was accompanied by the ministers of education and health, Pance Kralev and Nikola Todorov.

The lab is part of the project on procuring laboratories implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science.
