FM Poposki: Enormous possibilities for enhancement of Vietnam cooperation

In the framework of the official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki met Monday with counterpart Pham Binh Minh, President Truong Tan Sang and visited the Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

"We had an opportunity to directly communicate over the enhancement of bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic field. Vietnam is a fast-growing economy and possibilities for cooperation with regards to export of agriculture products, wine tobacco etc must be utilized, but also improve the contracting framework in the sector of investment protection and elimination of double taxation, as well as enable direct contacts between the countries' business communities".

Interlocutors also voiced commitment to improvement of the framework for direct contacts through enhancement of cooperation in the fields of culture and education too.

"The fact there are Vietnamese citizens who have already studied in Macedonia is a good foundation. We believe this can be enhanced in the future", added Poposki.

He said the Macedonian delegation presented the country's benefits for doing business.

"We hope this visit will represent a good foundation for increased bilateral communication and opening the doors for the countries' business communities", underlined Minister Poposki.
