Macedonia will definitely be part of 'South Stream' – FinMin

A section of the South Stream natural gas pipeline will go through Macedonia, Vice-Premier and Finance Minisre Zoran Stavreski told reporters on Tuesday.

Russia has submitted a inter-state draft agreement to Macedonia, which after being finalized, will be signed, Stavreski said.

"It  is certain that Macedonia is going to be part of the Soulh Stream, which is a huge success for the country, one that will bring secures, stable gas delivery to future generations, companies. It also refers to the gas supply price,' Stavreski said.

The South Stream pipeline will transport Russian natural gas through the Black Sea to Bulgaria and then further to Italy and Austria, transiting several Balkan countries on its way. The project is scheduled for completion in 2015.
