Government team presents opportunities for investing in Macedonia at Budapest Forum

A Government team, led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, presented Tuesday the opportunities and benefits for investing in Macedonia at a business forum in Budapest.

The event was organized in cooperation with the Chamber of International companies.

The benefits of technological-industrial development zones (TIDZ) as well as potentials for investing in a number of areas were presented to over 70 representatives of multinational companies operating in Hungary.

In this respect, Gruevski said Macedonia was offering the lowest costs for kick-starting, doing business in Europe.

He elaborated the other reforms for improving the country's business climate, mentioning the introduction of regulatory guillotine, which reduces the administrative burden for doing business.

Gruevski also referred to Macedonia's stable macroeconomic indicators -- low foreign debt, investments in education, skillful labor force, as well as the free trade agreements with other countries, which offer access to a market of over 650 million consumers.

Tomorrow, Gruevski is scheduled to meet his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban.
