MoFA: Hungary to keep using Macedonia's constitutional name in bilateral communication

Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki sent a letter Thursday to his Hungarian counterpart Janos Martonyi, welcoming the latest decision of official Budapest to confirm and make formal the practice to refer to the Republic of Macedonia under its constitutional name in the bilateral communication.

The Republic of Macedonia highly appreciates the open and loud support Hungary has been giving to Macedonia since its independence, Poposki says in his letter. In particular he hails the support within the European Union, where Hungary has been  clearly advocating a swift launch of Macedonia's EU accession talks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.

This decision is yet another proof of the exceptionally good Macedonian-Hungarian relations and a friendly gesture towards further deepening of the confidence and friendship between the two countries, the press release reads.
