Deputy-Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Supply Zoran Konjanovski announced Sunday modernization and reforms in the advisory services for farmers.

"Every farmer should have an advisor. If we want good quality, more income, we must do this", said Konjanovski at the annual assembly of the Federation of Farmers of Macedonia.

According to him, the idea is to involve people who would provide proper advisory services to farmers over agriculture practices.

Konjanovski urged farmers to use IPARD funds in the amount of EUR 14 million.

"This depends on the Government and the farmers' associations. If we clearly present the rules to farmers, it will be easier for them to use these funds", he added.

Federation’s president Andrija Sekulovski voiced satisfaction with the achieved results.

"Our activities and partnership with state institutions has resulted in the settlement of many problems and changes to regulations that have been implemented in the subsidy programmes, the rural programme and the IPARD programme", stressed Sekulovski.
