Minister Poposki meets Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Minoru Kiuchi

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia Nikola Poposki has received Monday at the Ministry headquarters in Skopje, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Minoru Kiuchi.

At their meeting, Minister Poposki and Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kiuchi have exchanged their views over the existing possibilities for advancing the bilateral cooperation between Macedonia and Japan. In that context, Parliamentary Vice-Minister Kiuchi has expressed his appreciation to Minister Poposki for the Macedonian Government’s decision to post a Macedonian diplomat to Tokyo who, in the course of the next two months, will finalize the formal procedure for opening a Macedonian Embassy in Japan’s capital.

Moreover, both Minister Poposki and his Japanese guest have underlined the need of further intensifying and developing the cooperation that the two countries have been having within international organizations and institutions, as well as their political and economic cooperation and the one they have been enjoying in areas such as tourism, culture and education. Minister Poposki has particularly emphasized the necessity of finalizing the contractual framework between Macedonia and Japan.
