Gruevski urges Argentine companies to visit Macedonia

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski urged Argentine companies to visit Macedonia and get acquainted with the benefits the country offers to foreign investors.

The Government delegation led by PM Gruevski presented Macedonia's investment benefits at Saturday's business forum in Buenos Aires, attended by companies in the field of transport infrastructure, energy, tourism, agriculture, insurance etc.

"During your visit to Macedonia you can ask for information over benefits for doing business from the foreign investors already operating in Macedonia. Some of them are already opening their additional capacities in Macedonia, which is the best proof they have our support", said Gruevski at the forum organized by the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), the leading industrial advocacy group in Argentina and one of the most influential in the country in any sector.

He referred to investments in education towards creating staff possessing the required skills and knowledge as guarantee for success of investing companies.

UIA president Jose Ignacio de Mendiguren voiced satisfaction from Macedonia's benefits presented at the business forum, adding the Union would forward information to its members, promoting the country as a good business opportunity.

Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski stressed that the stable currency, solvent banking system, low inflation and low indebtedness offered favorable business environment, accompanied by the Government's support.

Minister for Foreign Investments Vele Samak presented Macedonia's corporate advantages, saying reforms and economic indicators enabled significantly lower price of entry inputs, thus increasing output's profitability.

Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion director Visar Fida presented several projects that Argentine multinational companies could be interested in, primarily in the sectors of tourism, infrastructure and energy.
