PM Gruevski sends Easter greetings

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski has sent Easter greetings Friday to the Head of Macedonian Orthodox Church,  Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia HH Stefan, and all Orthodox faithful at home and abroad.

"Allow me, on behalf of the Government and my own to congratulate the greatest holiday - the Resurrection of Jesus Christ Easter - to you, members of the Synod, priesthood, all Orthodox believers and extend my wishes for joy, happiness and tranquility.

Easter is the day that gives significance to our creation, existence, future. It is the God-created day to make us happy and celebrate kindness. By Christ's Resurrection people have learned to be guided by good values through their lives, to offer love, spread kindness and believe in our God. Exactly on the Easter day  the human-like God Christ made a sacrifice in favor of the mankind and by his resurrection enlightened the road to the future.

Therefore, let's be happy for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and celebrate the forthcoming great holiday Easter in the spirit of our religion and Orthodox tradition with the family, sharing joy, love and warmth. Let's thank God for the spiritual strength he has been giving us and return with a lot of good, blessed deeds. These are days for celebration of love and values that should lead people through life. Let's support our families with strong love and sincere trust. Let's be sincere friends and good neighbours. Let's be faithful to our country and do our best for its success, prosperity, happy future, new accomplishments, for prosperous, dignified, modern Republic of Macedonia," Gruevski says in his greeting note.
