Minister of Defense Talat Xhaferi held Monday a meeting with the Norwegian ambassador to Macedonia, Nils Ragnar Kamsvåg.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the countries' cooperation, especially in the field of defense and security, MoD said in a press release. An undeniable fact for the close relations between Macedonia and Norway is their common contribution to ISAF forces in Afghanistan, it was concluded.

Minister Xhaferi extended gratitude to Norway for its open and continuous support for Macedonia and its integration into Euro-Atlantic structures.

Xhaferi and Kamsvåg also discussed capacity building and projects that are part of the smart defence concept, stated the press release.
