System for issuing of e-certificates presented

The Central Register marked Wednesday the start of the system for issuing e-certificates, developed as part of the fourth stage of the government-run project involving regulatory guillotine.

The system enables documents to be requested electronically and to be delivered in a digital form certified by the Central Register with an electronic signature or on paper. It is expected to facilitate the access of citizens and the business community to information owned by the Central Register.

"The project on issuing electronic certificates is a result of numerous meetings with firms and chambers of commerce regarding the matter. This system enables the business community to have an easy access to a lot of information and data of the Central Register," PM Nikola Gruevski said addressing today's presentation.

This process of obtaining documents, he added, will facilitate to a large extend the various administrative procedures before state organs.

"In the past several years, Macedonia has made a breakthrough with respect to improving the conditions for running a business and to advancing the business climate," Gruevski stressed adding that it came as a result of the numerous reforms and projects realised in the interest of the business community.

Central Register director Vanco Kostadinovski said that registration procedures and processes were simplified as a result of a series of projects implemented since 2009 in the Central Register.

"The biggest benefit of introducing the system for issuing e-certificates is the simplification of procedures to get a certification. The system's goal is all data to be available and to help companies in providing certain permits and licenses," he concluded.
