Macedonia, Estonia review possibilities for bolstering economic cooperation

Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and his Estonian counterpart Andrus Ansip expressed satisfaction Wednesday in Tallinn with the excellent bilateral relations and their continuous development in the spirit of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect.

They expressed readiness for personal engagement in bolstering the economic cooperation.

Gruevski and Ansip reviewed the possibilities for establishing concrete cooperation in information-communication technology, textile industry, agriculture and tourism.

Gruevski briefed his host on Macedonia's reforms towards the realization of its aspirations to join the European, Euro-Atlantic organizations. He also expressed gratitude for Estonian support of Macedonia's efforts to become part of the European Union and NATO.

Estonia, Ansip said, remains committed to the realization of the EU enlargement and NATO’s open door policies. Estonia will keep supporting Macedonia's Euro-Atlantic integration, he added.

The talks also addressed the implementation of economic policies, mechanisms for surpassing the challenges of unfavorable trends and providing conditions for economic prosperity.
