First group of children leaves on free vacation

A group of 320 children from all over Macedonia set off Tuesday for a free vacation and recreation in Struga and Pelister.

New groups of children will be sent off every seven days since it is planned 2,000 children to go on a summer vacation this year.

Minister of Labour and Social Policy Dime Spasov today met with the first group of children who will be using the service for free vacation and recreation. They are from socially vulnerable families and beneficiaries of a special allowance for 2013.

"A seven-day free summer vacation is enabled for these kids. The project covers several activities, educational, sporting, cultural and entertainment to keep them occupied during the vacation," Spasov said.

The Red Cross of Macedonia joins the government-run project for a second year in a row. Volunteers from 15 municipal organisations of the Red Cross will be with the children in the next couple of months.ndo8t. ng:0cm 0cm 1.0pt 0cm'>
