Macedonian doctors to be trained in Italy

Macedonian doctors will be trained at the Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic within the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart), resulting from the Memorandum of Understanding, which Health Minister Nikola Todorov and the University's Medical School Dean Rocco Domenico Alfonso Bellantone signed on Sunday.

Minister Todorov said the UCSC was the biggest private university in Europe and the biggest Catholic University in the world, whereas the cooperation memo established cooperation in several fields.

"This is a great opportunity for Macedonian doctors to acquire the most contemporary medical knowledge and skills", added Todorov.

Dean Bellantone voiced satisfaction from the memo signing and hoped to see exchange of doctors very soon.

The UCSC is organized into 12 faculties and 7 postgraduate schools. Agostino Gemelli University Polyclinic serves as a teaching hospital for the medical school of the UCSC.
