The 50. generation of graduates from the Skopje-based Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was promoted on Sunday.

Minister of Education and Science Spiro Ristovski attended the ceremony promoting the new 343 graduated students and 50 graduates of master studies.

"The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, established in 1959 as a department within the Technical Faculty, has developed into one of the leading university institutions in Macedonia. The faculty currently has six institutes and one department. It was among the first faculties that carried out a complete transformation and adaptation of curricula and programmes in line with the European Credit Transfer System and the Bologna Declaration. Moreover, the Erasmus Programme offers exchange of students and professors with foreign compatible universities", said Minister Ristovski.

The Government has equipped the faculty with four, state-of-the-art laboratories, which provide instruction to students comparable to European universities.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering has produced 5,415 mechanical engineers and 1,610 engineers over the past 54 years.
