Skopje Aqua Park opens

The first aqua park in Skopje, built within sports center "Boris Trajkovski", opened on Sunday, in the attendance of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski and Skopje Mayor Koce Trajanovski.

"Once again we proved that if there is a will there is a way. We built the large and attractive Aqua Park in the capital in just a few months", said PM Gruevski.

According to him, the Aqua Park would attract all generations, adding its construction was worth about EUR 5 million.

The aqua park includes 10 slides, children's pool, wave pool, lazy river, administrative building with a restaurant, three coffee-bars, toilets, dressing rooms and first aid unit.

Turkey's "Polin" is the contractor, company building over 2,000 aqua parks worldwide, along with "Zikol" and "Elektrounion" from Macedonia.

The waterpark will have 35 lifeguards and open 40 jobs.
