PM Gruevski: Higher industrial production index - positive indicator

The higher industrial production volume index for 3.9 percent and July, and 2.2% in the first six months of 2013, is a positive indicator for Macedonia’s economy, Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski told reporters on Thursday.

"The data are positive and the Government will keep doing everything in its power to attract as much as possible domestic, foreign investments. It is possible by boosting the activities for creating favourable business climate by amending and enforcing laws in favor of the business sector, promoting the country to foreign investors -- something that requires regular communication between the Government and companies -- and leads to substantial development," Gruevski said.

I am especially glad with the positive trends in Macedonia when EU countries are still feeling the consequences of the crisis, he said.

"It doesn’t mean that we are spared (from the crisis). However certain positive trends are emerging, encouraging us to keep working and obtain better results," Gruevski said.
