Vice Premier Pesevski expects results from Austria, Germany business promotion

Vice Premier for Economic Affairs Vladimir Pesevski voiced expectation Monday for concrete business results from Austria and Germany, where a Government delegation led by Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski will present opportunities for investment in Macedonia over the next couple of days.

The so-called roadshow delegation will visit countries' chambers of commerce and hold direct meetings with companies.

Vice Premier Pesevski said the visits aimed at stimulating the interest among Austrian and German investors.

"Austria has demonstrated satisfactory interest for Macedonia, with over 80 companies investing in the country. There is less interest from Germany, but we have lately noted a trend of companies seeking destinations where production costs are lower. Macedonia can represent an alternative in this regard. I expect concrete results in the coming period", stressed Pesevski.
