Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski Monday visited Forbes Corporation and met with its Vice Chairman Christopher Forbes.

Collocutors also discussed concrete economic policies, measures and activities which lead to improvement of business climate with an accent to tax package and tax policy.

After the meeting an agreement on cooperation in the field of attracting foreign investments between the Republic of Macedonia and Forbes Corporation was signed by Director of the Directorate for Technological Industrial Development Zones Viktor Mizo and Christian Forbes.

The agreement foresees Forbes Corporation to participate in organisation of business forums at which Macedonia presents opportunities and benefits offered to foreign investors, engagement of Forbes Corporation in providing companies to attend at business forums and marketing aimed at country's interest for promotion of Macedonian potential for attracting foreign investments.

Gruevski positively assessed the future cooperation with the influential world business magazine Forbes.

Today, an agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and Forbes, one of the world's famous business magazines, with a circulation of around one million copies per year, was signed today.

The cooperation will be directed at organising our presentations before numerous business leaders and companies in New York, London and Los Angeles. Forbes will organise these presentations before rich investors, their clients and well-known companies with which they cooperate. Forbes will invite the companies and Macedonia will conduct the presentations, Gruevski stated after agreement signing.

Vice Chairman Christian Forbes gave positive assessment on Macedonian activities for attraction of foreign investors and expressed great expectations from future cooperation with the Republic of Macedonia.

Forbes has nearly a hundred years of experience in the cooperation with business leaders where among other things we advise them where to invest. We are glad to work with Macedonia and to promote opportunities offered by Macedonia as incredibly good tax regime, flat tax, which Forbes is supporting as strategies, and also friendly business climate which is not known to local world business leaders and we will work with the Macedonian government to promote this message, Forbes stated.

It is very important that Forbes will be our partner because companies see us as a country that gets the seal by Forbes because Forbes believes in us. At the same time it is also important that their ideas are very similar to ours from a point of view of low taxes, flat taxes, good business climate, so the Forbes network and their attraction of companies will mean a lot to us for what we are doing in the past six or seven years aimed at realising it much better, Mizo said.

Government delegation led by PM Gruevski Tuesday will visit Princeton where it will hold business forum before companies from New Jersey and will visit medical centre in Princeton.
