Gruevski calls US companies to invest in Macedonia

Government delegation led by PM Nikola Gruevski in Princeton, New Jersey presented Macedonia’s investment opportunities before 30 representatives of the US companies in the sectors of production, medicine, tourism and car industry.

Gruevski addressing the business forum referred to favourable conditions offered by our country to foreign investors mainly in relation to lowest costs for doing business in Europe.

Macedonia is continuously improving its business climate and receives positive assessments from relevant international organisations. Many foreign companies opened or decided to open business in Macedonia in the past period due to our reforms and good business climate, Gruevski said.

He calls the US companies to visit Macedonia and to be assured in what is being presented at the business forum.

I would like to invite all who are interested to invest in Europe to visit Macedonia and to discuss with investors that have already invested in Macedonia to analyse and to compare our advantages with other advantages of other European countries. And prior to passing the decision to review all information on Macedonia because we strongly believe that you will see that Macedonia is the real place for your investment, Gruevski said.

Deputy PM Zoran Stavreski referred to low tax package and stability of macroeconomic indicators that guarantee foreseeable and good business environment.

We are staring here from Princeton and we will continue in Chicago and Boston to present investment conditions in the Republic of Macedonia, aimed at attract new US companies. The interest is large when it comes to the Republic of Macedonia as a destination with lowest tax in Europe, with favourable business climate for investments and macroeconomically good and stable conditions which created interest to US companies because companies as Johnson Controls, Kemet Electronics are already present in Macedonia.

The US businessmen at the forum positively assessed government strategy for attraction of foreign investments.

This is a good opportunity to see all advantages offered by Macedonia to foreign investors. As a businessman, who works in healthcare field, I have noted excellent opportunities. This is very friendly oriented country and it is possible some of our capital to be directed in Macedonia, Henry Amoroso from Naval Campbell company said.

Minister Vele Samak in his presentation referred to opportunities for coverage of bigger market with production in Macedonia which is provided through free trade agreements and acceptable labour costs.

Government delegation will present Macedonia’s investment opportunities today in Chicago.
