Stavreski: New motorways to propel economy

Vice Premier and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said Saturday the economy would propel in 2014 through the increase of funds for capital investments by twenty percent.

"Capital investments will exceed EUR 520 million in 2014. A large portion, about EUR 360 million, is realized through the Budget, whereas the remaining funds through the Road Agency, aimed at building new roads. This demonstrates that capital investments will be the generator of Macedonian economy in 2014, boosting the country's economic growth", Stavreski told reporters.

According to him, motorways Miladinovci-Stip and Kicevo-Ohrid are the most significant projects, along with Corridor 10, but also many local and regional roads.

"This will create new jobs and contribute to larger economic growth. This Government's policy has proved to be successful and I believe will yield even greater results next year", underlined FinMin Stavreski.
