Kavadarci, Rosoman get new water-supply system

 

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski opened Sunday a new water-supply system that will meet the needs of residents in the municipalities of Kavadarci and Rosoman.

The EUR-2.3 million project is mainly supported by Macedonia's Government.

"Today's ceremony marks an end of a long-standing problem for this region. Aware of the priority for solving this problem, the Government has made efforts to provide funds for construction of a new water-supply system," Gruevski said.

Earlier today, the PM set into operation the local Kavadarci-Resava road - 5.95 km-long and 5.5m-wide. The Government invested Deanr 32 million (about EUR 500.000) in expansion and detailed reconstruction of this road.

"We have kept our promise. Today's event is a confirmation of our commitment," Gruevski said.

Since 2009, a total of 590km of local roads - an investment of EUR 45million -  has been constructed throughout Macedonia, said Ljupco Georgievski, Director of Public Enterprise for National Roads.

Later Sunday, PM Gruevski is set to open the Kavadarci-Rosoman road.
