Pesevski: Dräxlmaier confirms the success of Government's economic policies

Dräxlmaier - the biggest new plant in Macedonia with the highest number of employees - clearly shows that the Government's policies are precisely focused on improving the living standards of the citizens, stated Deputy PM Vladimir Pesevski on Tuesday after visiting the company located in Telot industrial zone.

Pesevski, who was accompanied by the minister without portfolio in charge of attracting foreign investments, Vele Samak, held a meeting with top officials of the German company.

"Dräxlmaier is one of the project we are proud of. The total investment is estimated at more than 50 million euros. Currently, 4,000 people are employed here and the number is expected to rise. It is a big step toward reducing unemployment and opening new jobs," said Pesevski.

It is a strategic plant covering an area of 50,000 square meters, which was built by a local firm, according to minister Samak, who said that the Government was satisfied with the dynamics of the investment.

Dräxlmaier is a German automotive company hiring nearly 40,000 people in over 21 countries worldwide. Its production plant in Kavadraci, one of the company's 56 factories around the world, manufactures cable installations for the new line of Mercedes-Benz C-Class. The plant in Macedonia was named the best production capacity in fDi's edition of top projects in 2012 out of 16,000 greenfield projects in the world.
