Stavreski: Four million euros for capital investments in Ohrid

Dozens of capital projects will be launched this summer in the municipality of Ohrid. The total investment is estimated at over 4 million euros, said Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski on Tuesday.

Stavreski, who paid a visit to Ohrid today, noted that cooperation with the municipality would be resumed in the coming period by realizing direct projects stemming from the programme of central authorities for the next four years.

"Dozens of projects will be realized by the Government through a loan. In the long run, given the fact that the financing won't have to be paid back in the first few years, it will enable the municipality to get back on its feet... It is estimated that enough progress has been made in managing public funds in the municipality in order more than four million euros to be invested," Stavreski stated.

The projects have been already reviewed by an expert team of the Ministry of Finance and have been sent to the World Bank, according to him.

The projects include water supply, sewage, streets, roads, school renovations, etc.
