Israeli company interested in investing in Macedonia

An Israeli company developing new fruit varieties is interested to invest in Macedonia. Representatives of Ben Dor Fruits & Nurseries met Tuesday with Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ljupco Dimovski and Minister for Foreign Investments Jerry Naumoff.

The company's officials have concluded that Macedonia has an excellent location and climate conditions that are more than favourable.

The company initially would start off by opening logistic centers and examining market opportunities in a bid to define the best model and potential markets after which it would continue by growing their unique fruit varieties (plums, pears, apricots, apples and peaches).

At the meeting, Dimovski said the Ministry of Agriculture had already established solid cooperation with Israel's Ministry of Agriculture offering his personal assistance for the company to find partners in Macedonia.
