Macedonia, US discuss possibilities for cooperation in energy sector

Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski held talks Thursday with Robert Cekuta, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Energy Resources at US Department of State.

Gruevski and Cekuta shared opinions on a large number of energy projects and prospects for their further implementation. They addressed the possibilities for cooperation in investing in this sector and providing funds for realization of energy projects.

Gruevski and Cekuta agreed that Macedonia's favorable business climate offered sound base for investing in the energy sector.

They also discussed the possibilities for supporting the technological development of the energy sector, as well as promoting and funding of energy efficiency projects.
