Stavreski: By "Buy a House, Buy a Flat" project state helps families to settle housing issues

There is a large interest for “Buy a House, Buy a Flat” project through which the state is helping all those who want to settle housing issues and to have their own home. So far, 340 individuals managed to settle their housing issues through this project with financial aid of the state amounting to €2.5 million. Due to the large interest the project will continue in 2015, Deputy PM and Finance Minister Zoran Stavreski said Saturday during his visit at the 1st "Buy a House, Buy a Flat" fair.

The government grants subventions via this project up to €14, 000 for house loans by €50.000 and for flat subventions by €9.200, Stavreski said.

He appealed to young individuals to visit the fair which lasts from October 24 to 28 and to be acquainted and to decide on one of the offered options.

The offers are really favourable because with a monthly installment of several euros a €40-50.000 loan can be received and the installments are paid only €100 in the first five years. And if they decide on construction of a house then subventions are even more favourable, Stavreski said.

Construction companies, banks, insurance companies and the Ministry of Finance - being the promoter of the project “Buy a House, Buy a Flat” – are taking part at the first fair dedicated to this government project. Those interested can find information on the conditions offered by the project, ways to get a subsidized bank loan and the offers for apartments coinciding with the defined conditions of the project.

Flats in Skopje, Ohrid, Bitola and Strumica are being offered for up to €900 per square meter in order to be part of the project.

According to Stavreski, the Budget has enough funds to execute the project.

The project was launched in 2012. The citizens are offered with two models – the first is “half installment” where citizens participate with half of the installment, the other, state provides participation for the loan.
