On the 151st session the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, on proposal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, discussed and adopted the Communiqué and the new proposal for premises of the Mission of the Republic of North Macedonia in the new NATO HQ in Brussels. The premises will be secured through purchasing.
In pursuance with the decisions adopted on this item, the Government of North Macedonia assigned the Ministry of Finance, using the budget re-balancing for 2019, to secure budget funds in the amount of 3,116,000 EUR out of which 2,316,000 EUR for one-time payment to NATO on the account of purchasing premises for the Mission of the Republic of North Macedonia within NATO and 800,000 EUR for adaptations which will be paid using installments. Thus, the new budget for 2020 will secure budget funds in the amount of 500,000 EUR for additional payments for adaptations, as well as 120,000 EUR for overheads for 2020, including 7,000 EUR for costs for IT equipment maintenance for 2020.
The Government assigned the Ministry of Finance, when planning the budget funds, to take into consideration the obligations of the institutions from this country that take participation in the Mission of the Republic of North Macedonia within NATO HQ in Brussels and that will also acquire office space in the Mission.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Defence informed that a nomination was delivered for our country to host the NATO Information and Communicators Conference in 2020. This is the biggest event that NATO is hosting in the course of the one year. The candidacy for host of the conference will confirm the excellent reputation that the Republic of North Macedonia has as an accountable and advanced future NATO member-state. If the conference is held in North Macedonia in 2020, beside the fact that the event will be sponsored by NATO, it will also provide significant contribution to the strategic communication between NATO and our country.
Furthermore, at today’s session the Government adopted the proposed Program Amending the Program for tackling air-pollution for 2019 according to which 121 million MKD from the budget of this program will be re-purposed for replacement of existing non-eco friendly systems for heating in households, kindergartens, primary and high schools, health and administrative premises in the most polluted cities with gas heaters, AC inverters, VRF systems and heating pumps.
Part of these funds is intended for procurement of air purifiers for kindergartens, schools, health and administrative objects, as well as for installment of filters in small and medium enterprises that release harmful matters.
The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia discussed and adopted the Communique for forceful concession of the game in the hunting areas “Saraevo”, “Ratevska Reka”, “Palazlija”, “Dzami Tepe” and “Chiflik” in the hunting area Berovo; “Kadina Reka” in hunting area Skopje; “Dushegubica” in hunting area Kichevo; “Koprishnica” in hunting area Negotino and “Rozhden” in hunting area Kavadarci, for forceful concession of the Public Enterprise for management of forests in state ownership, “National Forests” Skopje.
This temporary concession of these hunting areas which did not have a concession holder so far, will secure greater efficiency of the previous decision of the Government for undertaking measures for decreasing the population of wild boar in hunting areas in the Republic of North Macedonia. This measure is intended to serve as prevention of appearance and spreading the African swine fewer.
The Government discussed and adopted the Communique for realization of the Project for leasing 7 (seven) mobile skating rings in the Republic of North Macedonia and assigned the Agency for Youth and Sports to secure the necessary funds for realization of the project in the amount of 14,000,000.00 MKD within their own Budget for 2019.
This Decision of the Government recommends the municipalities Ohrid, Bitola, Kumanovo, Strumica, Centar, Gostivar and Tetovo to select and propose the Agency for Youth and Sport a location, and to provide approval for setting urban equipment i.e. mounting of skating rings no later than November 1st 2019.
The Government discussed and adopted Communique regarding the needs of fencing plots foreseen for construction of photovoltaic electro power plants in pursuance to the Public Advertisement for awarding a contract for right to use of electricity premium produced by photovoltaic electro power plants construction on a land owned by the Republic of North Macedonia.
The Government assigned the Ministry of Economy to repurpose funds for creation of a basic project for fencing of locations on state owned land for which a public advertisement was published, as well as preparation of geodetic elaborates and hydrological studies for planned state owned land for which a public advertisement will be published for electricity premium produced from photovoltaic electro power plants constructed on state owned land in the course of the following year.
On today’s session the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia accepted the decisions proposed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for establishing diplomatic relations with the Republic of San Marino, the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Cyprus.
At this session, the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, on a proposal submitted by the Director of the National Security Agency, appointed Arif Asani on the position deputy Director of the Agency.
